I'm Kristin Hardy, a graphic designer in San Diego, and I design things. Lots of things!
I consider myself to be extremely fortunate because my work entails doing what I love. I call myself a "designer" as it’s a nice umbrella term for my graphic design, branding, illustration, and photography projects. I've been interested in art for as long as I can remember, and went on to get my degree in graphic design with a minor in marketing from San Diego State University. As a result, I view projects through both a creative and business lens, giving you a designer who is the best of both worlds. Who doesn't want something that looks awesome and increases your ROI?
My acclaim started in 4th grade when I won 1st place at the annual Snowflake contest at the Scripps's Birch Aquarium for my groundbreaking snowflake cut from foil. It has been nice to receive other notoriety including having my IMAGINE logo design chosen for a children's program through SDSU, my art deco inspired concept for trash and recycle bins implemented on El Cajon Blvd as part of their renovations, and my "Selfie Station" for The Glorietta Bay featured on Forbes.com.
I'm currently employed doing Graphic Design & Marketing Communications at NuVasive, Inc. Additionally, the scope of my freelance projects have given me a background in everything from the branding of small businesses to world wide conferences. I also enjoy retail design, product photography, and copy writing.
If you would like me to design your company's logo, boost your business' promotional materials, photograph products or just want to say "hello", get in touch! Please note, I am retired from the snowflake business at this time.
